An introductory piece to the 'Out of the life aquatic' body of work, this piece is in broad strokes a brief history of modernity. The background references the beginnings of modern thought. In the middle a male individual in modern attire introduces a film within a film, referencing modernism at its height in the 20th century. On the surface and acknowledging the electronic screen, is a phrase of subtitles, referencing the postmodern present.
