Inner shadow, created by the outer petals reflecting the light away, creating an inner darkness, an inner shade, what is a shadow? Less light than the surrounding light, depth of shadow, creating an inner being, out of the fronting petals it grows, a nighttime situation, by moonlight, under the water, beams of light, another light, penetrating vertically, a structure upon which the flower grows, depth created by this matrix, floating around somewhere out there in the water, in space, doing whatever it does, having large or little influence on us, making some kind of difference, large or small, known or unknown, being, searching for significance, purpose, a reason, a creature made for something, finding clues in the situation, moving through the veil, pinned between here and there, the mind. A complex kebab.
