The themes in this work revolve around beauty and the mundane. Resolving from a pattern of simulacra at the top of the painting, a tangled arm-like branch reaches down towards the bottom of the painting where it encounters some tumbling razor wire running on top of a white suburban fence. The tangled 'arm' reaches down like God in Michelangelo’s famous 'The creation of Adam' in the Sistine chapel. Behind this unfolding drama of religious frustration lie the hazy secrets of suburbia.
