Artist statement

This work speaks of the labyrinthine flux of our global economy, or social game, which has become something less readily seen as real because of its extrapolated and simulacral nature. The composition is static and the surface is spectacular, but the medium is human, and that means it is not machine perfect. With a nod to fin-de-siecle and TS Eliot there is an island of beauty/hope among the modern detritus.
